Progress

Yay! For all of my naysaying and doubts about Peter’s ability to get things done in a timely manner, I’m proud to say that I am now eating my words. Yum Yum! Everything is now painted, save for the trim. We’ll be working on that today, so hopefully we’ll be all done by tonight. The room looks so pretty… As soon as it’s cleaned up in there, we’ll post some pictures. She’s going to love it in there (I hope!). The furniture should be here by the end of September, so then all we’ll need is baby!

Baby seems to be doing well inside, as far as I can tell. My next appointment is on Friday. I’m still nauseated every day, my feet feel broken, my back hurts in places I’ve never felt before, and I’ve been having ligament stretching pains here and there. Peter has been pretty great about it all–food aversions, mood swings, whining, foot rubs, back rubs, and bending over to pick something up when I just…can’t. heh. The weather has been very warm for awhile now, and it’s taking its toll on me. I wish I knew someone with a pool! Crowded public schools scare me, so that’s a no-go. I used to go to one when I was a kid, and have horrible memories of various bodily fluids and solids floating around. Blech!!!! Squirting myself with the hose feels nice, but is ultimately unsatisfying. Peter looks on with amazement when I do this. He can’t stand getting wet, so of course I amuse myself by hosing him down. : D

Time for mamas to get back to work in the nursery. Pictures will follow very shortly… I think I’ve got a cute one of Peter with paint on his nose.

Edited to add: Oh yeah, since my sister Melissa commented on my journal, I’ve realized that I have no pictures of her or her family on our website. I don’t have any of Autumn, Cameron, or Dan either, but… Melissa provided me with linkage, so I’ve no excuse not to post pics of her insanely cute kids.

David (6 years)– I wish I had a picture of Melissa on here. He looks just like her. It’s uncanny!

Destiny (4 years)– Sadly, I’ve only seen Destiny a handful of times so far. She’s a cutie, though, isn’t she?
