What is new…? Pictures of: trip, Melissa’s wedding, and Iris all in the photo gallery.

Peter and I headed west to Breckenridge, CO, this past weekend, on the recommendation from one of the ladies in my sewing class. It was nice, albeit not quite what we had in mind for a relaxing getaway. Since we had an awful time finding a place with room to board Iris, she accompanied us on the drive out. We found a nice place for her about a mile from where we were staying. Breckenridge is a cute little ski town that seems to live for skiing season. Since we visited out of season, there really wasn’t much for a pregnant woman to do. I can’t wait until this wee one is older and can join us on a rafting trip or sailing lessons! Near Breckenridge is Dillon, CO, known for its absolutely breathtaking lake/dam/what have you. It was just so, so beautiful! Iris really enjoyed getting knee-deep in the crystal clear water (do dogs have knees?). Overnight while we were gone, there evidently was a small landslide on the road we were traveling on. Good thing for us, it was on the westbound side. We felt so sorry for the cars lined up for miles and miles and miles and miles without any hope of moving soon.

Here’s a pic of the beautiful Dillon dam/lake:

My sister, Melissa, sent me a disc of photos from her May wedding, which I was, unfortunately, unable to attend. She made a lovely bride and it was great to see pics of my niece and nephews as well. Here are two pics from this event:

Melissa and her new husband, Josh–

My nephew David, niece Destiny, and nephew Cameron–

This is an image heavy entry already, but oh! Just one more! Iris has been a total wuss about going out in the rain, so we picked this lovely yellow raincoat up at Petsmart for a mere $2. We couldn’t resist:

The nursery is all painted, Peter’s dad is coming to visit for Peter’s birthday weekend, I ordered him a yummy birthday cake from a local bakery, and baby is growing steadily, moving all the time. Life is feeling pretty close to perfect right now…well, as perfect as I’ve ever known.
