Third TrimesterPosted In: Everyday life — September 13, 2005 @ 2:29 pm — PeterIt’s official, we have entered the third trimester! Baby is right around the corner. Our old college friends had their baby a few days ago. They had a little girl and named her Emma Joy. Congratulations Matt and Amanda and best of luck! On Monday we had our first child birth preparation class at Rose Medical Center. We have not decided yet if we’ll be using Rose, St. Luke’s, or St. Joseph… We’ll be touring each facility in the coming weeks and hopefully decide soon. The class was fun and I discovered there is much to learn about the child birthing process. Despite being nearly done with The Expectant Father: Facts, Tips and Advice for Dads-To-Be, I need to concentrate more on the labor process and figuring out how to keep myself together while seeing Stephanie in intense pain. The class consists of 8 or so couples, many of which are our age. The couple that we sat next to lives a few blocks away from us and also are animal lovers with a gaggle of pets
Tomorrow night I’ll be going to a political meet up of sorts… I was invited by an old friend from St. Louis. No time now to explain how we met up again… Perhaps next time. 3 Responses to “Third Trimester”Leave a Reply |

You did so well in the class! It was kind of fun, wasn’t it?
Between the book, this class, and your other research, you’re going to be such wonderful support to me during labor/delivery. I hope I’m even half as good a mother as you will be a father. It’s still so amazing to think we created this life together and that in almost no time at all, she’ll be here. We’ll go from two to three in one day’s time (or 9 to 10 if you count Iris and the cats!). I can’t believe how much I love her already!

Nice Vespa Peter. You should buy yourself a down jacket and some studded snows for winter communting. Take care. Susan

Good luck to you both in the final leg of pregnancy. You two will do a great job. After all the reading, watching of videos, and stories from friends, it all was a good experience and could not have planned it any better. It was scary to see Amanda hooked up to everything and hurt, but the nurses were great at making sure pain management was at a very low level. That eased everything. Emma is doing great by the way, be sure to check often for pictures. Will keep checking in until your little girl arrives.
