The nursery

Another weekend is here… I simply can’t believe how fast time is flying by. It feels like I just started my new job, instead, I’ve been working there for two months or so. Even more shocking, I’m going to be a father in a little over five weeks! We have a lot to get done before our little bean arrives. One item we can cross off the list is nursery furniture. The beautiful set that my parents bought for us finally arrived earlier this week. We couldn’t wait to get it setup and assembled it that night. Thankfully, my brother was not too far away and stopped by to help me mount the hutch on the dresser. There remains a few items to take care of in the nursery, such as: window treatments, light switch cover, and a rug. We already have the light switch cover, we just need to obtain some hardware to mount it properly to the wall. As far as window treatments go, the valances are in the mail along with the white eyelet lace crib bedding set, and we are looking at plantation shutters for the lower portion of the window. Anyway, enough details about the nursery. Here are a few pictures of what the setup looks like so far.

Unfortunately the drawer on the crib came cracked. I’ve called the store and they put an order in for a new one. I’m hoping it won’t take 6 weeks to arrive…
