Pet the Kitty~

Amelia has shown a LOT of interest in the cats and Iris. She seems to prefer the cats, probably because Iris’ barking scares her sometimes. Tigger is her favorite so far, I think. Mia reaches out to touch her more than the others. Tigger gravitates towards her, appreciating the affection, I’m sure.

The Meltdown

We got to playing with Ulead Video Studio and some of our video clips and came up with this short. A rather fun clip of Amelia having a meltdown set to music and processed through an ‘old movie’ filter. :D

Amelia For President!

Amelia is 3 months old now, and rapidly changing from my tiny baby girl to a little girl with her own wonderful personality. This girl is so curious! She is fascinated by the world around her and just absorbs everything like a sponge.

Things she can do:

  • Hold her up VERY well when sitting in a lap or in her Bumbo
  • Pull her head up a few inches when she’s on her back
  • Hold her head and part of her chest up decently when on her tummy
  • Manipulate some objects–she grabs at things, spins this little ball and undoes a little bird attached by velcro to her mirror toy, she moves these little toys from one side to another, and grabs and takes some stuffed animals away from me. She will even pet a cat if one comes close enough. Tigger and Vinnie are especially receptive to this, and will come up and brush against Mia to initiate some petting.

EVERYTHING goes in her mouth–everything! She struggles to sit up and gets pissy when she can’t. I prop her up in my lap or in her Bumbo chair and she’s all smiles…

Here’s a recent photo of Amelia wearing a cute onesie we picked up a local baby boutique–it says “I already know more than the president”. :D
