Crash, Boom, Bang…

This morning Amelia and I visited my brother Brian and we all went for a trip to the Cherry Creek Mall play area. As nap time approached, Amelia and I started to head home. Every usual way I take to get back to the east-side of Denver was blocked by roadblocks to make way for Denver Marathon runners (annoying!!!).

My frustration was minimal until forced to detour a few miles out of the way to get around the race. As I was heading to I25, I was rear ended while at a complete stop. A SUV hit a Subaru Outback, which hit me. It was very stressful trying to deal with all this while rainy and cold. Thankfully Brian walked the few blocks over and helped keep Amelia happy while I worked out the details with the police officer.

Everyone is okay. We took Amelia to the ER to have her checked over. She actually enjoyed the ER visit, especially all the attention she got from the nurses. She even got a kitty sticker too!
